Also congrats to Daniel Pohlabe for a new National Record for Seniors for 20 rounds at 1000 yards with a 198-9X. The old record was 198-6X held by Danny Biggs.

Thanks Larry for a great LR match!

Only ONE point seperating first and second in BOTH F Open AND FTR!
Thats competition!

We appreciate the great match you put on and thanks everyone for showing up that was the best turn out in years and congratulations to Phil Crowe winning the prone portion

I just want to say congrats to all of the shooters that came to the match. To Phillip Crowe, Bill Vaughn and Thomas Colyer, Danny Biggs, Dan Pohlabe and Ronnie Rolston. They all did an excellent job shooting. There are more to mention, but I can not remember all of the names that were mention, but still you know whom you are and congrats to you and your good shooting.

Congrats to Ronnie. That was a tough field.

I had a great time, we had an extremely strong field shooting, and we only got a sprinkle of rain once on Sat, and everyone got flogged pretty equally by the wind.

I have to say that the Oak Ridge wind was in true form this weekend. I shot here for two yrs before I ever went anywhere else to shoot. After two yrs here I would look at the people putting up F-TR scores in the 190s from other places and think "I'm never going to figure this out". Then I went other places and started putting up scores in the 190s myself (or mid to high 140s in 15 shot matches) I think all in all maybe Oak Ridge is just pretty challenging to shoot. Look at the scores in F-TR, on Sunday, there was only one 190 shot all day. Ronnie's average for 5 matches is 190.8. Someone this weekend asked me how I shoot here all the time and don't lose my sanity.

Thanks to Larry for running a great match. I enjoyed shooting at Oak Ridge and met some good people. It was a long trip for us but it was worth it.

Those are buy far the fastest targets I have seen yet.

Congrats to all the winners.

does anyone know if their is any shoots in july for f-class ? really would like to shoot at this range.

There is another thread on here with links to all of the shoots but in July we are doing 3x1000 on the 13th and Palma (800-900-1000) on the 13th and the 28th.

There is also a 3x1000 on June 8th and a Palma on June 9th and a Palma on June 23rd.

You can shoot F class at all of them.

thank you. going to try to attend one of those matches. just getting started and looking forward to shooting their. sounds like a really good shoot.

Update on the medals: the NRA is providing separate medals for the F-TR shooters. The lady at the NRA is new at this and didn't realize the need for separate medals for Open and TR. I will ship out the medals as soon as I receive them.

Thanks for the kind comments on the match; it's you guys that keep me doing this.

Larry S runs a great match! And makes it look easy. But I know it's not.

Thanks to all the folks that put it on.

See you in Sept. for the state 1000 F- Class. Hope you allow out of state'rs to claim it if they win. Like Miss. and La. do it.

The TN State F class championship is at Tullahoma, Long range HP is at Oak Ridge. There is an award for winning the match but the state championship goes to a state resident.

Mr Sparks did a great job of running the match and providing a meal for the competitors sat evening. Southern hospitality all the way. The range looked like a golf course settled in the beautiful Tennessee hills. I really like this place and the people there made it a worthwhile trip.
