Student of the 1911.
A couple of years ago my friend Steve and I spoke about doing a project for the NSSF. This is the culmination of many phone calls, meetings, mill cuts, leather stiches, antler shavings, carbon fiber shapings, and ironwood dustings.
For my part there are over 50 hours in this project. It shoots lights out and is one of my favorite guns built thus far. The trigger weighs in at 3lb 1oz. short roll and there are so many features to it that I won't even bore you with it. You can check out the pics. This is the first Stainless Steel FMG, "Fightin' Man's Gun".
I will say, special thanks to the great folks at Caspian Arms, Brownells, Wicked Grips, Exodus Gun Leather, Jones Pens Antler Memories, Kirby Lambert, FMG and of course my lovely Heidi who put up with some long late hours to make this one happen. The money raised from this auction will be going to the NSSF First Shots Program so stay tuned!!!
