NRA Service Rifle equipment questions

I know this isn’t the cheapest or plug and play option, but from someone that has been down the SR road here is my advice. (FYI, my advice combined with roughly $3 will get you a cup of coffee)

Pull your barrel off, sellnit or keep it, then put in a standard DCM/NM Profile barrel and go practice. After that, practice some more. Then, after you e practiced so much the dog barely recognizes you...practice some more. For every round shot prone, Shoot 10 offhand, that is where points are lost. The barrel isn’t worth the haste and the concern/fear of failing a rifle inspection. Anything that distracts you from shooting X’s Is a bad thing and should be done away with. My 2 cents, take it for what it’s worth.

Surely you meant load test, load test, load......test, and then test some more. Bullet after bullet and then powder after powder and then ladder after ladder. Going back to bullets since new ones are always coming out. Then start all that over every 500 rounds since the throat has moved...OMG...think about all that jumping. Surely the match is won at the reloading bench, never trusting those sneaky high masters trying to tell you what load to use. They all have beady eyes.. Isn't it written in the law of physics that if I have a quarter m.o.a. load and the guy next to me has a half moa load that means my group is always half his? Clearly quarter m.o.a. loads cannot shoot an 8. How can a match possibly be lost standing, it's only 10 rounds in an EIC match and I have a quarter m.o.a. load?? how??
clearly practice is overrated since putting around in every scoring ring is a yahtzee and a yahtzee gets the most points!

You just summed up the Internet as it relates to competitive shooting in one post. Good work!
