NRA Competitive Shooting Dashboard: F Class??? wtf

When I go to the NRA Competitive Shooting Dashboard (and log in), it shows my current Highpower Rifle classifications, THEN it shows an F Class one. I have only ever shot Highpower Rifle and nothing else. Why would it show an F Class (unclassified) classification? No way have I ever shot F Class and there is no way I ever will. How can my record show that?

If and when you do shoot F-class and acquire a classification, the place marker is there to be filled in.

Does it give you an “unclassified” classification for the other rifle categories like lever gun, long range etc?

Danny, It depends who entered the information. I'm an F-Class shooter who's never shot a HP match but somehow it shows I have.

Its either a mistake when the scores were sent in by the match director or when they were entered at NRA.

I have never shot Fclass or XTC and likely never will, but my NRA dashboard show that I have. Im also misclassified in Smallbore Conventional Prone because of a posted score error.

I tried several years ago to get my info cleaned up and not only was I not able to get it done, it would have been easier to talk to someone in India that I couldn’t understand.

It does say "unclassified" for Mid-Range Highpower and "Conventional?" Highpower (across-the-course), but I had shot those before and had classifications. After some inactivity in those disciplines, my official classifications became invalid and now, as mentioned, I am "unclassified" in those, aside from Long Range Highpower.

I had a similar scenario about 10 months ago. I missed some years because of a shoulder injury and other things. I called the NRA to figure out how much longer I could go idle before losing my Long Range Classification. The girl that answered seemed to know less about this than I, but I am not the governing body and final answer on things, correct? Among other things that were in error that she told me, she said that the records showed that I had not shot a LR Highpower match in something like 10 or more years, which is nowhere near correct. I had to raise questions, offer nuggets of rules to her that I knew and generally gently prod her to start looking and finding things. Eventually she found my match records and corrected what she told me the first time. She also started searching the rules book. I am not entirely sure that the last match dates they have are correct, but I did the best I could. I am also not 100% confident of everything I heard that day, but at least I got her to start investigating and I think it was a learning experience for her. Things in that office are not the same as when Don Ide was there. He was a real pro at this and was a really great guy to talk with.
