Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held a Chabot Special 200 YD Group/Score match Saturday in the heart of the Ione Triangle.
The 14 shooters that came for the festivities were greeted by beautiful conditions cool, calm with barley enough breeze to get your attention and we had some good scores as a result.
Lane Buxton laid down the gauntlet early on TGT 1 with a nice score agg of 157, just beating out Jeff Rodriguez's 156. I had small group agg with a .490, with Jeff 2nd again at .567. TGT 2 score was again taken by Lane with another 157, with Steve Epstein 2nd at 156. Lane also took the TGT 2 group agg with a sweet .490 beating out George Palms who was 2nd at .567.
Tgt 3 had a 4 way tie for high score of 156 with me taking 1st on the tiebreaker, Jeff, Francis Lee, & Steve Raeder also with 156. I took the Group agg for TGT 3 with a smoking .382 agg which included small group of .269. George Palms again 2nd at .426 which was the second smallest Agg of the match. (Sorry George). The breeze started picking up as we started TGT 4 and the scores reflected it. Lane (favor center) Buxton took his 3rd Score agg with a 153, Jeff 2nd at 151. I took my 3rd Group agg with a nice for conditions .593, Steve Raeder a distant 2nd with a .697.
We got things wrapped up @ 12:00 and got everyone on the road to try and beat the weekend traffic.
