Guys,

I have a couple nice articles waiting in the wings, including a story on Tom Sarver's record-setting 300 Hulk. I was hoping to get a big article up last week.

However, my father, who has metastatic prostate cancer that has spread to his bones and spine, got very very ill last week. He has been in the ICU for the past 5 days. We almost lost him Wednesday. They couldn't get a pulse and his blood pressure was 40/20. I've been driving 100 miles each way to see him every day and then coming back to get up a bulletin item. But it's barely all I can do to finish that and answer the emails. I'm sorry, but to do a big story it takes 20-30 man-hours, plus the ability to make lots of calls and work the 'net during business hours.

So... please bear with me on this one. I'm my Dad's primary care-giver and there's really no one else to help. I'll do as much as I can, but on a typical day I'm on the road for 3 hours and with my Dad for 12 or more. I'll try to do as much site updating as I can. There's nobody else who can do the work.

In the meantime--if any of you guys have good Bulletin items, with photos), send them along--that can really help out.

Sorry to hear about your dad.

Never mind about the site, I'm positive that everyone will understand.

Remember, family comes first!

Paul You do what you gotta do. Spend what time you can with your dad.

I'm sure we'll survive not having you at our beck and call every day.

Also I'm sending the best wishes I can for you and your family.

Harvey

Paul: Take care of "your" business. We'll still be here!
I'll keep you and yours in my thoughts and prayers.
The site will survive.

I agree 100% with the others Paul. Leave the site alone, period. Spend the time you need with your Dad.

Mike

Our prayers are with you and your Dad ... just been through the same scenario with my father-in-law ... God bless ...

Paul,
So sorry to hear about your troubles.

You and your Dad will be in my prayers every night.

PM me if I can help you in anyway.

Kindest Regards,

Chuck

Paul:

My wife and I send our thoughts and prayers to you and your Dad. If there is anything we can do for you, don't hesitate to contact me.

God bless,
Jim Hardy

God Bless you and yours. Hang in there. Life is very, very tough at times and stuff like running this site has to take a backseat to caring for your family.

Regards, Guy

Paul: I too am sorry to hear about your dad. Please take your time to do what you need to do. I know how taxing these things are and I am sure your father cherishes your support.

our prayers are with you and your family forget the site and remember family comes FIRST.

Bill

Harvey,

My Dad was in the ICU for 12 days. He was released to skilled nursing last week, but lasted 3 days before he was back in the hospital,non-ICU) with pneumonia and some other complications. He's mentally alert but very weak and frail and on a feeding tube 'cause he can't swallow properly.

It's been tough on everyone because it seems like we make a little progress and then something bad happens.

Yesterday I was with him for 4 hours then drove home, then had to turn around and go right back because hospice needed papers signed.

Paul,
Spend every moment you have with him,God take care and give you both the comfort you need. Just went through the same with my Dad..we are all right there with you..Rick
