Not bad for my first outting of the year.

Took my new 22 hornet out for the first time Saturday evening and this is what happened. Longest shot of these was 180 yards shortest shot was 50ish. My buddy was on the range finder and spotting scope. We killed all these from the same setup. I killed 5 he shot the 6th I killed the 7th and shot the 8th which crawled back to the den. The 8th one came out when we were cleaning up the bodies. The crawl off stood up at what I thought was 200 yards but was closer to 250 yards I aimed for the chest and hit it low in the guts taking out the back legs.
When cleaning up the bodies we had left the range finder back at the pond bank we were setup on. That caused a bad shot on my part.

Nice shooting! I'm with Nomad on the cleanup! ;D I normally just toss them in a bordering corn feild or fence line but it does make for a nice group photo!

LOL, MM. I don't even toss them. Just leave them lay where they're shot. The buzzards have them cleaned up in a day or two. Actually most farmers tell me to just leave them lay. (I think they like fat buzzards.) One farmer told me - "Yep, Bill's been shootin' here. Look at all the buzzards."
