nosler brass for 6SLR?

I know a lot of guys that have messed with the Lapua brass and had nothing but problems. I'm currently using Win Brass but a buddy wants to put a guy together and wants Rem brass, i told him good luck. I know i can find win brass right now for him but he doesn't want to mix head stamps up with his wifes 243. I can also get a hold of some Nosler stock. Has anyone tried the nosler brass, and if so, what were the results?

Thanks in advance.

I've used win and remy brass side by side. They both shoot great. I've lost a few remy brass (primer pocket) when I was exploring hot loads. On my two favorite loads (4831 at 3030, and 7828 at 3125) both work equally with no obvious ill effects.

How about the Nosler stuff??? Anyone? I may end up buying a couple of pieces or look through a range brass bag for a few pieces and mic them out and try a few just to see if there is a doughnut that forms in the neck.

I would definitely recommend the winchester. Ended up with donuts with 6.5SLR. Just used some prvi brass in 300 win mag and it was good stuff. Harder than remmy brass. Would equate it to lake city brass roughly. Will need some prep but will last longer than the softer remmy and hold up to fairly stout loads.
Not quite apples and apples but might help.

BSS,

I've recommended the Win brass to my buddy and i know i can find it. But he doesn't want to mix brass. His wife is shooting a 243 and he wants separate brass to form with a separate head stamp. That's the only reason for asking about the Nosler brass, as i can find that also.

I certainly wouldn't worry about the headstamp. There will be an obvious difference in appearance between 243 and 6SLR.

I found the Winchester brass (recent production) to be poor quality, so I switched to Lapua (neck turned, of course) and it has been working great.

I tried Lapua brass in the beginning and suffered with the donuts no matter how i sized/expanded or turned, Im currently using Win brass but im getting heavy leaking around my primers after only 2 firings on this batch. ES and accuracy is still top notch but the leaking primers are driving me up the wall. I have one shoot left this year and then ill revisit the Lapua brass option or Norma and dump the Win brass, a buddy off mine sizes the necks way down on Lapua brass, expands them with a bigger mandrel and then cuts them deep into the shoulder witch apparently solved the donut issue for him. The Win brass is really annoying me after all the hours I spend turning neck, sorting by H2o capacity and getting them to where I wanted them and ending up with brass etching my bolt face every time I go out to shoot after only a couple firings, the loads isn't even a hot load.
