Nosler 80gr match bullet

I just picked up 1000 of these that I plan to use in an 8 twist 22 br. Does anyone have any experience with this bullet? I am hoping to safely get them to 3050-3100 with a 26 inch barrel.

Any feedback is appreciated.

I shot a boat load of the Nosler 80's when I was shooting High Power Comps. I was of course using a .223 with 1 in 8 twist. They are a very good bullet but I prefer the Sierras.

Thanks for the feedback. I am a big fan of Sierra bullets too but I was able to purchase 1000 of the noslers for $150 shipped. The price difference between them and Sierras made it worth the risk to purchase them.

need to go to target shooteronline magazine laure runs the loading bench articals there and he did indepth reloading on 223 he also has tied the f-class record for 223 this artical starts in nov2010 and start reading he lets you know all the details we used his info on the 90vld and we have them going 2850 in a savage action with out the bolt sticking see a little primer flattening but thats it buddy shot1k this year and shot 560 and a 574 out of 600 not bad for factory with 2000 rounds through barrel with the 90gr we used 25gr ofreloader15 cci small rifle magnum primer want to use the mag primers cause they are thicker cup and wont rupture as easy

i thought i read somewhere that nosler was making bullets for sierra for awhile back when bullets got scarce and then nosler started making their own. its kinda funny all the 224 and 6mm nosler customs and other calibers come in the same bullet weights as sierra matchkings. i shoot the nosler custom in 223 and 6 br and have no problems with them, good value too.

The Nosler's produce 1/4" 200 yard groups in my 22BR. I have used them in .223's and 22-250's as well.
I think they are great!

I've pushed the 80gr Noslers to just over 3,200 in a 22-250 and they worked very nicely. I'm getting ready to work up a load for a 22-250 8 twist that I had nitrided.
