I'll be interested to hear how they go and whether they provide a level of consistency the other RDF lines have failed to do thus far. The 6mm 105s have certainly been frustrating and they're not in the league of Bergers despite a very sleek and impressive appearance. The 185s are not available yet in Australia as far as I am aware.

I have the 185 rdf
I shot a latter test today
Along with 180 lapua
And 180 eld match
From 57.5-60.1 gr H1000
The 180 lapua was only one that showed presser at 59.9 gr light ejector mark
The 185 rdf toped out in the 2850 mark at 60.1
The 180 eld topped out at 2900 60.1
The lapua topped out at 2930 at 59
Will be loading up what i found from the groups and teating some loads
Not lapua and hirnady were at .015 jump
The 185 rdf was at .030 jump do to reading
Nosler says they like a little jump

Read some info on the 185 rdf drag factor of .719. Hornady claims .796 for their 180 ELD. Quite a spread on both bullets it seems.

I have tested the eld 180 fron 0 to 1600
They do ok bc is closer to .400 G7 to .385 G7
Depending on range as bc is not a fixed number
Hornadu have 3 bc listed at 2 diffent twist rates when you look up the eld bc chart

I tried researching that 185 rdf but all I found was TBD. I know what Hornady lists and the 3 separate velocity ranges for drag factor. Was curious why such a variance from the 180 eld and 185 rdf

The 185 rdf is .357 G7 advertised
I found hornady to ne actually out my 1:8 around that .390 G7
And 183 smk to be .385G7

And the hornady eld match is a secent ogive
The smk 183 is a pointed hybrid ogive
And the 185 rdf is a hybrid
The berger 184gr f open also hybrid is there highest bc target bullet at .356 G7
So the 185 rfd and the 184 berger f open have to be very close in shape

Do you have any update on how the Nosler's are performing? Are you getting any random fliers in group tests and are you batch sorting the bullets by weight at all? Have you jumped from beyond 30 thou?

So fair i have only shilot one latter test for presser and to see fps and nodes / flat spot in fps
Ill be tryinf to do 3 loads at diffent charges
5 shit grouos at 200
Thursday or friday and ill update more then

I did a random load off what other 140s like 44gr h 4350 in a 6.5x55 with 140rdf

More interested in the 185s than the 140s, just wondering if there are big weight variations among the 185gr bullets as the 105gr RDFs are shocking for weight variation. Still not convinced weight sorting them will help, but its worth a try. I'm hoping the 185s are more consistent in weight. I'd love to know the difference in manufacturing Nolser employ compared to Berger as they're a hell of a lot more consistent in weight.

But when i teat new bullwts i dont so any sorting i feel that is somthing one can do to tighten up groups and es ect but not that one should have to do to get it to shoot tight
So Thursday friday area should have more infor and probly wednessday have the wieght and base to ogive info

Cheers mate, look forward to hearing the results. I just hope Nosler have done a better job with the 185s than their other lines. No point advertising a bullet as a comp bullet if it's not consistent.

.7gr es and base to ogive es is.004
Also checked lapua 180
.3gr es and base to ogive .0005 if that
Next was quick check eld m 180.and i was surprised on this
.2gr es and base to ogive .0005 if that as well
Must say its impressive
To bad the RDFs are not at the level of the other 2 hoping to group all 3 with some differnt charges at 200y between now and saturday

Funny you should mention these two bullets right now.

I tried the RDF 105's in my new 6MMBR barrel. Never have I had such huge flyers at distance than with these! Like 4' at 1122Y.

Grabbed the 105 hybrids off my shelf, worked up a ladder and shot it at 400Y, 3 shots with hardly any vertical, picked the middle charge. Didn't bother with a seating depth test, and shot 4.5" vertical for 15 or shots at 1025Y!

Hit a 5"ish sized rock at 1185Y on the 3rd shot and didn't miss by much with the few rounds I left with those hybrids.

So 3 diffent loads 200y200y with the 185 rdf with a 30inch shillen 1:8 barrel
The best was the lowest charge @ 2775
The fastest abd secont best
Was the fastest @ 2910 low es but needs a little tunning. Hoing to play with seating depth with it
