Nosler 175 RDF

Anyone using the Nosler 175 RDF?
Anyone have anything good or bad to say about them?
Anyone having trouble seating them to magazine length?

I've ordered some and I hope to find a good load using Lapua brass and IMR8208xbr. Will be shooting them in a factory barreled R700.

I'm still in the process of testing them in my factory Rem.12t 308. So far they haven't dazzled. 168Amax are doing better. I started with a ladder test at 500yds then did refinements at 200. Minute of angle but not much better.......so far.

I shoot ftr with sierra 175tmk with imr4895 or varget. I found xbr8208 to shoot bugholes with sierra 155mk. It is not the preferred choice for that bullet weight. Imr4064 will also work well just a little slower but you want low es/sd and tight round group.

5 rds.175 RDF, BR2 primers, LC Match, 43.0 gr. Varget, 2691fps, .040" off the lands, 200 yards, 28in CBI Savage pre-fit, 10 mph @ 180. bull barrel.

That looks very promising. I picked up 1k of these to test out and switch to once my supply of 175gr smk's run out.

I've done trials with the 175 gr RDF at multiple COAL and charge weights and powders (Varget, IMR 4064, and VVN550) in my CBI 28" Bull (savage pre-fit also). I couldn't get it to group (3/4-1") at competitive velocities to beat the accuracy I get out of 168 hybrids and 185 bergers 1/4-1/2" groups. It could just be powder bullet barrel combo issue.

Case in point: Previously, I couldn't get 185 Berger Juggernaut's to group with Varget. I recently tried IMR4064, suddenly my 3 shot groups went to near 1/4" Which is more likely to be 1/2" group statistically speaking.

155smk imr8208 powder, win brass, tula primers grouped 3 shots on top of each other mini cloverleaf at 200 yds.with friends 308win Tikka and both of my FTR rifles-kreiger and mcgowen 30" hvy palma bbls. Imr8208 not preferred for 175gr bullet weight.

Imr 8208xbr is fantastic for the 175smk in my limited testing at 300yards i was getting a 2 inch group across 41.8gr thru 42.2gr
