Nosler 105 hpbt 6mm Br Norma

So I used up all my Berger bullets today and I have not been able to get any. So I picked up some Nosler .243 hpbt 105 gr with a bc of 0.517 and sd of 0.254, does any one have any load data using Varget in the 6mmBR Norma that has actually used these bullets?, i can not seem to find any specific data for this bullet, i was going to start at the same load my Berger bullets were at which needs a bit more kick in the arse which was 28 gr of Varget to help fight the wind gusts better

I am of the view that velocity is king. Start just under what you were using with the Berger 105's and then bump it up as needed to achieve the same velocity. At least that is where I would start. Probably the bigger issue is jump/jam. It could be quite different. Kind of have to test to see what works.

+1 in this cartridge I like to keep the speed up a little since I am asking a lot of a little cartridge. Without knowing rifle specs FB, Action, FP size it is hard to give advice, all I can say is your current load was below my starting load. I run 2850 out of a 27".

I am using 29.5gr. varget in a Grunig prone 300m rifle. shoots dots at 300 and 600yds. My Barnard likes 30.5gr. varget 1/4in at 600 yds. all day long. Not sure what type barrel you use but the Grunig has a traditional type rifling and the Barnard uses 5r. so it would be best to start low and see what yours likes. get your velocity where you want it and then adjust seating depth and even neck tension to see what works in your gun.
