Norma Brass from 223 Tactical FMJ

I purchased some bulk brass from a police range and it came with a bunch of Norma brass and I'm wondering if I lucked out. Is the brass Norma uses in their tactical line of ammunition the same stuff we used to pay $60/100?

Most reports conclude that it is not the same.

I must add that I have found it to be of good quality and, incidentally, the loaded Norma Tac FMJ 223 ammunition shoots much better than its price would suggest.

Several years ago I purchased two boxes of Norma USA Tac FMJ in 308. It was a real bargain in 50 round boxes @ Cabelas. I’m absolutely convinced the brass was true Norma 308 brass.
