Norma 6XC chamber ?

does any one know what chamber dimensions to use with Norma 6XC brass.
I want a no turn standard neck. shooting 105 VLd's in 1-8 twist.
it looks like .276 neck dia. I was thinking maybe a .274 I want to keep the bullet above the neck shoulder junction. I contacted tubbs and they were no help at all they said contact PTG. I did. waiting on a reply.

O i want to use the tubbs FL die. i may call them back and see if i can get someone more intelligent on the phone, maybe after the holidays.

I can't give you any dimensions, but my two Criterion barrels chambered in 6XC (for my Savages) shoot the Norma brass with no turn necks.
I did have to ream the throat out a little to get the boattail/bearing surface junction to seat up into the neck.

A loaded 105 berger in an unturned neck measures .272-.274 . A .276 neck would be minimum. .278 would be better for unturned necks. And a 104 free bore is fine.

guys the new norma brass i have a loaded round is .2705 to .271 at worst.
I ordered a PTG .274 NK 104 freebore. we will see how it works.

I had to call Dave Kiff on this when I ordered my reamer last year. No turn = .2748 neck with Norma brass

The .2748 neck works great for me, and I'm running a .148 FB with the 105's and they shoot lights out. The reamer was purchased with the DTAC's in mind, which I started with, but the Bergers shoot better in my rifle. I'm trying to remember if I run a .269 or .270 bushing... 99% sure it's a .269.

Must be on the thin side in the neck area, My Creedmoor brass is 13.8 at the thinnest and a loaded round is always .272, I use a 270 bushing. My next Creedmoor will have a 274 neck, 104FB for shooting VLDs. So what does the neck wall thickness measure on Norma brass?

.0138+.0138+.2434=.271 unless my math is off.

looks like the 6XC Norma brass is .0135-.0138 now running a ball mic takes some pratice

Thanks for the info guys and Happy New Year!

Oh yeah, I thought thats what I was getting earlier in the year with my ball mic, measured again, was more like 14.3, practice indeed.
