Norma 6br brass for a .272 chamber.

Since my bbl. has a no turn neck chamber. Would it be better to switch to norma brass than the new Lapua? Or am I just splitting hairs. Seached all posts about new blue box brass but didn't find this addressed. I'll be fireforming to the 6brx and not sure if the difference in neck walls between old and new will affect accuracy. Norma brass is available that matches my chamber better;so I have no problem using either one.

I have some with necks thin enough that loaded round are around .265 and they shoot as good as the ones that have .269 necks I think blue box would be fine. I wouldn't want necks any tighter than .003" clearence

I bought 60 pieces of Norma just to compare, and so far I like them just fine. The necks are better suited for your .272". I am not sure it matters if the uniformity is there, Tim.

Thanks for your input. I prefer to do a light clean up on the necks and was worried that blue box Lapua wouldn't let me. I'll get some norma and see how it works. Thanks.

I have been shooting blue box out of my .272 neck and see no difference in group sizes. The norma is fine but is alittle softer than lapua. You willl still get good service from them but primer pockets will loosen sooner than lapua.

I have loaded the Norma 4 times, and though they started out with less tension on primer seating, they are still the same as first time loading. The Lapua requires more pressure to seat, and lasts forever, time will tell about the Norma.

Well if you don't like that blue box stuff, just let me know. I will be glad to pay the shipping to take it off of your hands!
