Norma 6 Dasher rim thickness

Decided to go the Norma 6 Dasher route because of its longer neck. Problem is the rim thickness - 010" thicker than Lapua. Won't fit in any brand shellholder I have for the .308 family and wants to stick under the extractor (2 different actions) when removing an unfired case from the bolt face. Anyone else have this problem? Is this just a bad batch? If not, what's the cure? Not interested in fireforming Lapua, so let's not get into that; constructive info. and ideas welcome. Guess I could turn down the rims if it came to that (200 pcs.)

Your brass is likely from Norma's first run. It had thicker rims. The 2nd run was thinner and worked fine. i have both and can only use the 1st run in Rem 700 actions.

Thanks, didn't know there was 2 distinct versions. These rims are .062, about .010 thicker than Lapua 6 BR. Some old Rem. BR is .048. I think I can alter the bolt face a little to make them work, but does anyone know of a shellholder that will work with these thicker rims? I've tried RCBS, Lyman, Hornady & Lee for the .308 boltface and a number of other sizes with no luck. Otherwise guess I'll have to get busy thinning the rims down.

Put a post in the wanted adds, they made a modified shell holder for the first batch. I have one and use it often, but only some of my brass would not fit the regular shell holder not all of it.

Thanks for all the info. and suggestions. Placed a want ad and got quick results. Great site with nice people.
