Norma .416 Taylor brass

I'm trying to locate 50-100 pcs. of Norma .416 Taylor brass.

Any ideas? I've contacted Norma in Sweden and their US office.

Resize 458 Winchester Magnum brass full length in 416 Taylor sizer die. Or anneal neck and shoulder of 338 Win Mag brass and fire form with inert filler.

Well, did you get a reply and the information you need to order some? If you got the information then we don't need to respond.

I did some nosing around and checked Norma's website but the .416 Taylor brass and ammunition is out of stock or you can backorder it. The only loaded ammunition is a solid at 400 grains. My guess would be that this cartridge or brass falls into the category of low on the production schedule. It was never exactly overpowering popular even in it's heyday.

Before Norma started making these cases, we simply necked down .458 Win. Mag. brass for fireforming. Usually any of the larger caliber 2.500" belted magnum cases can be adjusted to work. We used the same idea when making .458 Lott brass except with the 2.800" brass.

As pointed out above though, if you need the proper headstamp then you will need to go to Quality Cartridge or RCC if Norma doesn't get up to speed shortly.
