I sent the store pictures of the brass from that crappy bushranger along with a fairly lengthy explanation of the issues. The employee that I spoke with told me that they bring these rifles into Canada by the train load and do not inspect them when they arrive.
They took the bushranger back with no questions and refunded me the cost of the rifle and the shipping costs. this company has had a great reputation from what I gather and I can't fault them for this error since they bent over backwards to make things right.
If the opportunity arrives, I will continue to deal with them. I just won't get anything from the peoples republic since these guys sell gear from the USA as well. A happy ending. ;D
