Happy ending to the saga of the separated case

Two weeks ago while hunting with my XP-100 243AI I had a fired case separate in the chamber. I tried the old trick of a brass brush to no avail, then posted on several sites for advice. After trying several suggested methods which all sounded foolproof, I gave up and pleaded for somebody with an Echo Broken Shell Extractor for help. Almost before the dust from my post had settled, Nor Cal Mikie chimed in with an offer to borrow his. He shipped it at his cost and it worked after a little persuasion with a brass rod and hammer. My many thanks to Mike who I have never met. It shows you the true meaning of sportsmen and the type of people we meet when me gather with serious shooters. I found that out several years back when I took up short range benchrest and the fellows at the now closed San Gabriel Range gave me everything but their first born to help me get started in the right direction. Now it is time to throw all my old brass in the canyon and start anew! Mike, you made my day sir and I am indebted to you and your range bag. Tom

;D

Now to top it off, he has generously donated the extractor to my range bag for future use if need be. Mike now has my vote for whatever office he decides to run for! Tom

Tom: It was my pleasure to be able to help out and the fact that "It Worked" made it that much better.
Never hurts to help someone out. Never know when it will be my turn to ask for a helping hand. And having the "proper tool" to do the job makes it that much easier. ;)
