I made a very stupid mistake last week, I bought a Norinco Bushranger 223. To make a long story short, I attempted to work up a load for this rifle. I made 10 rounds with federal brass, a CCI 400 primer, 26 gns of H335 and a 50 gn sierra blitzking. I fired two rounds and found the bolt to be very hard at unlocking and opening each time. On inspection of the fired brass, I dicovered that the chamber wasn't in line with the axis of the bore. I laid the brass on a flat surface and slowley rolled the cases to see what was happening with the cases. As I rolled the cases, I saw the necks of the cases wobble. On measuring the wobble, the necks were out as much as 1/16" of an inch. I'm sure this could be a big safety issue and this post serves as a warning to all who wish to buy a varmint rifle. Do yourselves a favor please stay away from Norinco they are a waste of your hard earned money. I have since bought a Savage model 10 in .223 to replace the Norinco.
