Non-ISS Firing Pin Assembly ??????

Hello fine people
I was at the range today shooting my hunting rifle a 300 ultra mag. I enjoy shooting very much and like to get as tite as groups as possible. A person suggested I get a Callahan Remington 700 Traditional Non-ISS Firing Pin Assembly. What are the advantages to these if any. Thank you

The biggest problem with the ISS firing pin assembly is that the firing pin spring drags on the inside of the bolt assembly.

Personally, I've been really happy with the Gre-Tan firing pin assemblies with the fluted firing pin. You can see them
here. The lock time is much faster with one of these.

Depending on the caliber you have, you might want to also consider having Greg,Greg Tannel--Gre-Tan) bush the firing pin as well. I think it's $150 for the complete job--bushed firing pin and new firing pin assembly with fluted steel firing pin.
