Non BR stocks for BAT "M"

I have been scouring the web looking for someone who stocks Mc Millan, or even Manners A5. A3, A3/5, ect.....style stocks (non BR style). I am looking to throw a tac style stock on one of my 1000 BR guns to shoot up the remaining life on a whole pile of tubes I own. I am growing quite fond of "shooting steel" , and these tubes would be perfect for that!!

The action is a BAT 1.55 "M" .

I don't want to wait the 6 months to a year for a special order to be custom made, and I don't want to bother a bunch of buisneses with phone calls with 101 questions....they have work to do..

Anyone know of a stocking dealer???

Problem with most Tactical stocks and all I've seen is they are designed for magazine fed actions. I'm sure you could find one that's setup for a single shot. Best place to ask this question is over on sniper hide

Yep....Awsome selection, but they didn't have any thing I could use.

I am sure I could find a flat top, but I am also sure that I would have to wait 6 months for the stock work to get done.

Well, i have two "WHAT ARE THE ODDS" things today.

First, I am looking for a McMillan stock , and decided that will call them today. Since they are two hours behind i was waiting for them to open. Just now, my secretary hands me my mail, and in it is a "Christmas card" From McMillan stating that there is a HUGE sale, with stocks up to $312.00 off!!!!

What are the odds of that happening today??? Maybe "big brother IS watching, and he is a GOOD GUY!!!

Second , what are the odds that they will have what I want "ON SALE" !!!

Check with Joel Russo also, he made me a nice stock for a Panda action.

I called McMillan and things didn't go my way!! :-[ They said that ANYTHING for an "M" would need to be custom made because of the "square tang". (?) I have a few"M's" around, and on only ONE do I see where it would be a problem...it is an older action and the tang is HUGE and SQUARE. My newer BAT's don't look like they take up any more room than my remmy. The back of the tang is wider on the newer BAT , but only because it is cut SHORTER than the remmy.

The green stock has the old BAT in an A5. The white marble has the "new" BAT in an MBR, and the cammo is a rem 700 in an A5.

I just can't figure out why there isn't enough material to fit the new BAT when the exterior dimentions of the green stock (old BAT) and the Remmy 700 are IDENTICAL.

I looked at a McMillan McHale stock for my Bat model B. They told me to send them the barreled action and in 4-6 months they would fit the new stock to the barreled action. Also it would cost $600-$700. Too rich for me.

Tod I think you will find that the angle on the BAT tang is different. It takes a different angle on the stock on top of the wrist to look and fit right. Matt

Well, I was going to take some advice , get a flat top, and have it inletted. Well, according to McMillan, that too, is a no-go. Even a flat top has to be specially made for a BAT "M"!!! :( :o

I ordered a McMillan A-5 Adjustable for a Bat M Multiflat in Rhino Camo.

Ordered it in October and they are currently shipping July/August orders so I am hopefully a month or two away from getting my "non-F-Class" stock to run out in the field.
