600/1000 BR stocks.

Where is everyone getting their stocks now days? I have 2 BAT "M" actions.......one is in an Obechie ST1000 Tracker and the other in a McMillan MBR Tracker. The MBR must weigh at least a pound more the the ST1000 even AFTER I milled a bunch of the hard fill out of the fore end.

I see Wheeler's website says "unavailable" on his offerings. Not sure if Bill Shehane is still selling the ST1000. I don't see anything over at Richards Microfit. Just looking for a lighter stock.

Throw out a few names for me!!

Technically the LRB is available. But McMillan has raised my cost considerably higher than what I used to sell them for retail. I bought and installed the rudder and butt plate. So for me to sell one its would be a $1600 flat top. They simply are not worth that much and I dont feel right about selling them but if you want one I can order one. I have went back to wood laminate for my builds, the deep creek tracker (same as the LRB) and the newer low profile version which I am actually preferring. I have a bunch on order, no extras right now but you can check in from time to time with me. Theres no money in reselling stock blanks so I think we will see a shortage on GOOD stocks. I had a good relation ship with Kelly McMillan for some reason, he wanted to be involved in what we do. He had pride in the match wins and records. So I think he made me a better deal than I deserved.

I’m afraid that McMillan has shot themselves in the foot. After their price increase, a flat top MBR starts at $800 now ($925 for a molded in color, flat top). I get that their cost most likely up, but that’s double what they were just a short time ago. It’s hard for the average guy to justify that kind of price on that stock.
