No I am not trolling! Light and fast out of a 243

Planning on a 400 yard coyote rifle and wonderying why a fast 3900fps 55 gr. Nosler Ballistic tip from my 243 would be just fine? Seems that it has a plenty flat enough trajectory and the speed helps with wind drift. I don't want to use the high BC bullets because I have a good number of regular 243 hunting bullets. Maybe when I cook this barrel I will rebarrel with a faster twist but for my coyote shooting 300 yards is a long ways.

i always take a box of 55s along with the 108s for p dogs in my 6 mm rems. the 55 seems to do ok at 3900 in an 8 twist.

Ray, i was shooting 55 and 70 grain blitz kings out of my 6 BRA when we were in SD in 2019. Not quite the horsepower of a 6mm Rem but I really liked both bullets. The 55s were great out to 350-400 yards and then the 70s took over. I made my longest kill at 655 yards with a 70 grain right before y’all drove up and showed us the tornado that was behind us.....lol.

you can load what you want, but your limiting factor is the twist in your barrel. Id be wanting a slower twist if I'm wanting speed and light bullets. Otherwise you could get bad accuracy or bullets blowing up.

i have never had a 6mm 55 nosler blow up but i have had many different 105s blow up.
the 55s do a wonderful job at high rpms.

so far no 108s have disintegrated.
