Nikon scope specs

i started a post above about the sightron scope, so far i have my mind set on it, i have read about this nikon monarch 3 6x24x50 model nk 6779, been reading and can't find specs on the elevation moa travel, i will be doing long rang varmint shooting and i like to use the click software, are these nikon noted for reliable turret turning for different yardages, i have a feeling the elevation is not there. can anyone verify this or know the elevation and windage moa.

I had a 2011 model monarch 3 5-20x44mm with one inch tube. If I remember correctly I had about 45 MOA total adjustment. Nikons website says their newest model is 30 MOA total elevation. It has 1/8 inch clicks as well.

I was getting frustrated with my .308 and that scope combo because I ran out of adjustments for 1000 yards. I was stuck at 700 for max internals. The BDC was a crap shoot once you got past 500 yards. It also had to be on max power to use the BDC Correctly. The Nikon spot on app tells you what your BDC values are worth at different magnifications at different ranges though. It’s cool, but I didn’t want to be tied to my phone to go shoot. I was wanting more of using old school ballistic tables.

Is it a good hunting scope? Definitely.

Great glass. Used it several times hunting early morning and late evening deer and hogs with no issues.

Returned to zero with me cranking on it.

It definitely has its short falls, but I wouldn’t feel exactly handicapped shooting game within 500 yards with it. I got rid of it though and run SWFAs now.
