When was the Nikon Monarch X (#8414) discontinued? Current fair market value of a 4-16x50, NP reticle?

I think the Monarch X were discontinued around 2010. These scopes were made in Japan and they are excellent. I have the 2.5-10X44 with illuminated Mildot. Built like a tank and with great glass. I paid $1,000 for it in '05; I would not part with it for under $2,500. It is that good. Ok, make that $3000.
