I received my Nikon Monarch 6-24x50 and assorted scope gear by courier not 10 minutes ago - haven't done the grand opening yet. I too ordered from The Optic Zone, and again they held the price to that at the time I placed the order, $519. That doesn't include shipping, because it was to Adelaide Australia. I found them to be good people to deal with, and on everything that has happened so far, I can recommend them to you. Down the end of this send I will put some notes for people buying US goods from Australia.gunamonth said:I ordered the Nikon back in March or April I believe so it took about six months to get it. However, the folks I ordered it from - The Optic Zone - had advertised it for $519 when I ordered it. The price has since gone up to $649 pretty much everywhere but they honored the original price of $519 including shipping.
I ordered the fine crosshairs! At the price I payed it's outstanding except I'd rather have the fine crosshairs.
Things to know about buying US goods from Australia:
if
1. If the total price of the goods plus shipping including insurance is less than Aus $1000,
2. The goods enter Australia via Australia Post, which is the case when they are sent to Australia by the USPS Global Express Mail,
3. The goods are classified by Australian Customs as firearms accessories rather than firearms parts. Scopes, rings and mounts are classified as accessories, except for night vision scopes,
these 3 things are true then the goods enter the country with no paperwork or permits other than the manifest that USPS GEM would require to be attached to the shipment and no GST or anything else is payable, and ordering from Harrietta MI USA is as easy as ordering from your home state.
