Nightforce Scopes

I am looking to order a Nightforce Scope. It is the NXS 12-42x56mm with a NP-R2 reticle. I will be putting this scope on a Remington model 700 300 win mag SFII. Would this scope be a nice addition for the 1000 yard game?
