Every retailer is the same price. Manufacturer has an agreement with the retailers not to discount I guess. Looks like I have to pay full price for my scope.

Also, call the retailer and ask for an actual price. The retailers can't display any prices that fall below the MAP price. However…..

MAP pricing helps small businesses compete and sell service and value, rather than entering into a price war with cost-cutting big box stores. MAP prices as advertised are not written in stone. You pay MAP or MSRP only if you are willing to. Shop around

My experience is you have two shops. One is happy charging retail or MAP.
He sells 1-2 NF scopes a month. The other says I want to move merchandise, so I'm happy making 10% over cost and sell 30 a month.
But if I get caught selling under MAP, my franchise will get pulled.

Doesn't seem right.

The retailer can legally sell for a price below MAP. However, the retailer can't advertise for a lower than MAP price.
