Nightforce NXS Magnification Question

Nightforce NXS 8-32x56
I haven't used this scope but one time. I pulled it out of my safe and adjusted the magnification. I noticed that the eye piece "lock" ring/nut moved along with the magnification adjustment ring. ( I hope I explained that right) My question is should the eye piece rotate when the magnification is adjusted?

The terminology may be a little confusing here.

On the NXS, the whole ocular (and power ring) rotates with power changes.
There is a lock ring to unlock and lock so you can adjust the diopter.

And if you want to use flipups the Tenebraex flip up set nightforce sell have a ocular that rotates with clicks like your turret so doesn't matter what magnification you can have the flip up where you normally have it .
