Nightforce NXS battery

Hi guys,

This may be a dopey question but how do I replace the battery in my Nightforce NXS? There are some tiny screws in the focus adjustment knob but they look too small for people to be in and out everytime using those screws.
They literature that came with the scope gives me no clues.

Thanks for your help.

Dave

Dave, I don't have an nsx but on my br model there is a coin slot on top of the battery/illumination dial. I don't know if the nsx is the same or not. hope this helps. treeman

you just turn the side focus knob till it stops and keep turning the cap will unscrew. I don't recall the model number for the battery but it was very easy to buy at the local retail store

280man has it right. The cap unscrews separate from the rest of the parallax turrent. The battery is a Energizer 2032. Just changed mine yesterday! Russ

Thank you very much for that. I've just taken it out and will replace it tomorrow.....I have some nights under the spotlight coming up and there are some rabbits and foxes out there just asking for it.
The cap was on tight and that's why I wasn't sure. I didn't want to force something and break it.

Cheers

Dave

also,FYI
with the cap and battery out, there is a small rheostat there that adjusts how bright the reticle gets.lower numbers/dim,ccw) higher/,cw)/brighter.a setting of 2-3 is usually enough, you need to adjust rheostat and install battery and cap, then turn on and check intensity.
