Nightforce MOAR vs. NP-R1 on 12-42NXS for F/TR

As the subject says, am considering mostly for F/TR mid-long range. Am accustomed to holdover on stadias so the NP-R1 isn't as busy to me. I cannot find any info on width of lines for the NP-R1 but note the MOAR has a .14MOA width. The MOAR would have to be a factory retrofit as it is not currently offered as standard.

Basically, fishing for opinions, anyone have any experience with the MOAR reticle and is it worth the calories for F/TR? Floating dots/crosshairs sound interesting but I have no experience nor have I looked thru any.

Looking forward to upgrading. Thanks in advance-

I use the NP-R1 in F-Open and it works well for me. The only reason I don't use it in F-T/R is weight. By using the Sightron, the weight can go into barrel.

Excellent point, 4oz difference. I was really considering the SIII Sightrons but I can't get a firm answer on their 'custom shop' being up and running anytime soon nor if they could they do 1/8 clicks instead of 1/4 clicks on their SIIISS 10-50x60 LRIRMOA.

I shoot the NP-R1 in F Class but if I was only shooting that, I would go with the NP-R2. I also use the NP-R1 for ranging and shooting unknown distances and the NP-R1 is better than the R2. Never did like the 2DD. The dot seems to get lost in heavy mirage. 95% of my shooting is always at 42x.
