Nightforce benchrest

I'm wanting to get rid of mine because the cross hairs are just too thin for me. My old eyes are loosing that fine cross hair.

I am not a benchrest shooter but the number of scopes I own cost more then my first house! I have to put a word in on NF...I shoot S&B and NFs only. One day I bought the 8x32 NXS NF and can't tell you how much I loved that glass and picture! I traded it on a gun and I'm thinking about buying another...for what it's worth...

Right so why does it seem like so many br's for sale?

Most guys want lighter weight, high speed turrets, side parallex etc. With that being said, the NF Benchrest scope is a very good reliable scope if you don't mind the weight etc. that I mentioned. I'm currently using one on a FTR gun that was on the light side and could afford extra weight.

I think the new Vortex Golden Eagle is putting the hurt on the NF BR. Side focus and easier turrets for about the same price new. And used ones going for only $100-$200 more than a used BR. That being said there's still no fleas on a good BR. For F and BR the short comings are pretty small for the price.

I had a 12x42x56 BR scope and used it for one year. I shoot FCSA (50 Cal) competition, and my short arms would not permit me to look through the scope and adjust the parallax , while sitting behind the gun on my bench and rests. It also had limited MOA travel.

I sold it and bought a NXS 8X32X56 (Both have the NP-R2 Reticle, which I prefer). I love the side parallax adjustment and the greater MOA adjustment. I'm thoroughly satisfied with NF and their scopes. I also love the very thin crosshairs.
