Pal & I hit a ranch this AM. 1st 3 sets zero even though they sure seemed to be full of coyotes as the rancher said, but no takers. 4th set at 9am the one in my right hand came flying in and pal dropped it 6' from the call. 5th set I had 3 coyotes come in from different directions then they started to yap & bark at each other. One went after the intruder and its partner came my way. They split in a drainage and as I turned to look at towards the call one came up out of the draw and I dropped it at 115 yards with the 6x45, 55g varmageddon bullet.
The other 2 were over 700 yards & out running off by that time.
Both have thick fur for this early in October, so their skinned hides are now in the freezer.
