You are correct except wait time for ATF approval is six months. I am currently awaiting approval for one purchased out-of-state via a trust. Easier/quicker to buy in state.joejo said:I believe you have to purchase from a class 3 dealer in your state. the shop in Wisconsin can transfer to a dealer in your state, then you can get the product, but its just quicker and easier and cheaper to get on from someone in your state. I went the route of a trust and its pretty simple. I haven't completed everything yet but the dealer I am working with seems to think it will only take about 3-5 months from the time I pay him.

Seems a little high for a simple copy, paste, change a few names.

Interesting perspective - - Silencer Shop spends a boat load of money getting a trust form made up that works in all states that allow suppressors and then they re-sell it customized for you (for less than what it might cost you for about 1/2 hr of a lawyer's time) to recoup part of their outlay and make a few bucks and you consider $130 to be "high" priced?
I'm a lawyer who does trust work and let me tell you - - $130 is a bargain - - a big time bargain! Any decent lawyer who does trust work won't even open his briefcase for that.

My last Form 1 (eFiled) was approved in 31 days. My last Form 4 (paper) was approved in 120 days. Going by that graph, the Form 4 wait has decreased even more since last summer.
