2. SOLD!!! Leupold Vari X 2-7x 28mm Compact (Obj bell measures 34.62 mm) Gloss finish, Duplex-reticle. Parallax is set @ 150 yards from the factory. These are no longer made. No ring marks, 98-99% condition. $300 + $20 shipping.

If I understand your commentary accurately...I don't think that 2-7 Compact scope has a straight tube for the objective. Note the objective bell size he gave. It is larger than the 25.4 mm/1.00 inch tube diameter.

You are correct, it does NOT have a straight tube. The Objective end of the scope has a slight bell.

My Bad!! I have been waiting for the only source I have for Claw Mounts to see if this one will fit. Unfortunately, it will not. It took me a year to get an accurate load worked out for the two-leaf flip up/down rear sight. Finally, a load that will shoot close to the sights at both 100 and 200 yards. Now, no deal on the scope. Back to the search. I found a nice German one, but I am NOT paying $1200 plus getting it here from Deutschland...

PM me if you want to. It sounds like you are looking for a straight tube one-inch variant for your special mount application. I would suggest you look for a Leupold VX or VariX III model in the 1.5-5x configuration. To get higher magnification than that, you typically need to go with a 30 mm main tube.
