I found these news broadcast on youtube. I thought they were pretty cool. The greatest generation are my hero's. I didn't know the US news found out about the D day landings from German news broadcasts. And they thought they the whole thing could be a fake broadcast by the Germans.

Let us never forget THE GREATEST GENERATION and what they did for the USA and the world! I have had the privilege to know many of these great men and even a few of the women that served during this time. Numerous uncles fought in that war and one almost died. Thank you men and women of the GREATEST GENERATION

My Father earned the D-Day Arrow with the 190th FA Battalion
(155 Long Toms, V-Corp artillery) They were sent in to support
the 29th division.

The average young man on the street doesn’t know, much less, care about D-Day And the sacrifice made that day or the years that followed. I lost two cousins and two others lost limbs on D-Day and in the ensuing war.

The men and women serving in the military at that time were beyond any doubt the backbone of America.

Put in perspective of the modern conflicts, it gives you a whole new respect for what these men did.

Saviors of the world for sure.
My dad was in the pacific and my two uncles were in Europe, I'm not sure my grit would even come close.

Thanks to them and many others like them, I have lived a peaceful and free life.
