Chip Hailey, retired pharmacist came over today to join me for lunch at Justin’s Farmer's Harvest. We ate with Judge Kenny Linville. Turns out Chip is related to Kenny’s wife. Next was on to the range. Raining but wind was mild. I set up the shooting rifle and a spotting rifle. The spotting scope was my NF competition. Chip was to take his shots with the Bat SB 6 mm BRX.
First step was the 101 Jewell trigger class. After learning just how light a Jewell really is he was ready. I took the first three or four shots at 800 to get scope close. First two shots appeared to be one inch. I dialed the scope in and fired a shot at the one inch piece of pink duct tape. One shot and the pink bullseye was gone. Now chip is up next. His first shot was a little low. Then his next three made nice little Mickey Mouse triangle

Chip was my first instructor at Jimmy Joe Hackett’s Carthage Discount Drugs. Two summers were spent with Chip while i was in pharmacy school getting my requred hours on the actual job filling Rx’s.
Maybe I can teach Chip a little on the rifle range.
