New to the site and looking forward to lurking around a bit. I've enjoyed several articles already. I'm new to long range target shooting but have hunted all my life.

Here's my new toy, a Weatherby TRR in .308 with a Konus M30 6.5x-25x-44. Hope I can expand my limits to match the rig.

Welcome to the forum. That's a good F-T/R rig. The easiest place to stretch the guns legs is to find some mid-rage,300M-600yds) f-class matches in your area. If you post the general area where you live someone will point you in the right direction.

I'm going to be joining the Malabar Gun Club in Palm Bay, Florida. They are about an hour north of me and have nice facilities from small bore to pistol to clays and rifle out to 600 yards.

I've reloaded shot shells for years and look forward to getting into hand loads for the 308.

The Kreiger 22' barrel on the Weatherby is a 1 in 12 twist. I'm gathering components to work up some loads and see what it likes.

I'll hit the club this weekend to zero the Konus and send a few rounds of factory ammo down range at 200.
