Eddie, I sorta see your point. However, I have not seen much here in this thread that is political. It talks about shooting...ability, freedom to, conveneince, costs. It talks about living...where it is easy and where it ain't, to shoot. It talks about "making do" and adapting. And it talks about money...which fuels shooting, cause if you are paying it to taxes you are not shooting it down your new Krieger. Some of us have it tougher than others in that respect and sure like to hear from "yous" who don't, so we can hope, plan or fantisize...

That being said, I just moved my stuff and funny thing is, now I have a concrete room and vault, but likely will shoot less and will go into restoring my old car again. More places to drive it here and a lot more summer to do it in.

There is one thing good about diverse population and that is good resteruants! Nothing like real Thai, real Itialian, real pizza, real chinese...not that box store chain meal stuff.

Ok, I will go for a real bagel, but no lochs please....

Never heard of a bagel before I moved to NY. My parents called them "baaagels" and made them sound like they were from Mars. Sheesh, what a kid in western PA missed growing up!

I did however eat "chipped ham", Ham loaf, tuna casarol, and my aunt was "famous" for lime Jello with prezels and whipped cream in it. I was glad to move away. GAG

Not to go off topic but, there is a hole in the wall oriental restaurant not far from me. They are Koreans and man do they make some delicious oriental food. Been going there for 40 years now.
Darn Snert thanks for the cravings. Although oriental sounds great I am thinking Gyro's.

Yep...like them too. However, THOSE I knew about. Lots of Italian, Ukraines, and greeks where I lived. I never did get the urge to eat a perogi.

Been looking at Texas for a few yrs now , love it ! I just can't think of packing all I have .
I'm from south Florida . The humidity and heat kill me . I know Texas is hot but at least they have a fall and winter . This year I've not shut my air conditioner off .

Your a little mistaken. Heat and humidty is horrible here as well. And we dont turn off the AC either...

Free - gotta love it. Just wait and see what happens to general fees. I've seen this trick before, and some tax somewhere will go up.

Just had to take a break from watching the movers break my stuff. I packed my reloading room myself and I transported my firearms, powders and primers to my father-in-law's house a couple of weeks ago. Those things are IMPORTANT. The rest is just stuff. Well, there is that Stevie Ray Vaughan/Eric Clapton/Buddy Guy/Robert Cray autographed Stratocaster . . .

i got rid of all my guns. Easier that way. There I was in the canoe on the Finger lake (those suckers are DEEP) when up came a squall. being overloaded anyhow with about 30 long-guns, it was a miracle i was able to right the canoe and paddle to shore. Took me nearly two days and i have no idea where I was (due to the fog) when it tipped....

Yes, it is FREE. And the last free thing I got was about worth that too. But everyone here seems to buy it hook line and sinker. I was blown away at the barber today when everyone there thought it was a good idea. Nevermind the free market and the other niche schools that will go belly-up, at my tax dollar expense. Oh, wait! I no longer pay NY taxes!!!! Well, no real estate/property at least...just huge amounts of income tax.

And so we stay on topic, I also lost my 513T that once belonged to the local high school shooting team. Danged canoe.
