I guess that’s the same deal as @TxBowHunter409 was talking about. I don’t know if will see that many deals as many are at that $799.

I'm listening to the Vortex podcast, they chose to use the CR123 battery to increase battery life. You can adjust the screen timeout on them. I think it comes from the factory at 15 seconds. So battery life should be pretty good. If it's anything like their Vortex Razor HD 3000 GB , the battery life should be pretty good. I've used that one for a couple of years now, and finally changed the battery this year. Not that it stopped functioning, but I just felt it was time.

My guess is that Bass Pro and Midway made a large upfront purchase with a deal to sell them at a lower price to get some out for positive feedback. Back to the regular pricing now, or at least that’s what Midway and Bass Pro are saying now.
