JD I have their 4000 regular rangefinder and have been pretty impressed out to 1800 or so on rocks and such. Like Rob said above these should do any realistic hunting ranges when using them off hand as one would regularly do. I’m betting one mile capable.I've never owned a pair of range finding binoculars, and would be interested in knowing if they are challenged by increased range and light conditions like my short range lower power range finder is.
I guess what I'm asking, is how well I could expect them to work at 3000 advertised yards. That seems like a stretch to me. jd

Guessing change them out yearly, but carry a spare. lol.Next question is, how's battery life on this kind of rig? jd
Good for Vortex
I have the originals they work perfect!
You really need a pair for prairie dogs
I chose vortex for one simple very important reason
They warranty them for life INCLUDING the electronics. At the time of my purchase they were the only seller that did that.
Absolutely.... I bought the Fury 5000 a couple years ago, game changer for PD's.Good for Vortex

Had a pair delivered yesterday from Mack's Wings. Got them for $640 delivered to the door. Had to go fill deer feeders today so I took them along. Was successfully ranging dead trees at over 1k yards. That's the farthest I had to range. Vortex says they will range deer at like 1,500 yards, but that's likely BS. But overall, so far I'm impressed with them.I've never owned a pair of range finding binoculars, and would be interested in knowing if they are challenged by increased range and light conditions like my short range lower power range finder is.

Scheel’s also has one positive review with them ranging easily to 1500 yards.Had a pair delivered yesterday from Mack's Wings. Got them for $640 delivered to the door. But overall, for the price point, way better than my hand held range finger, and almost $2k cheaper than a pair of SIG Kilo 10's.
Could you provide the link to your seller?Had a pair delivered yesterday from Mack's Wings. Got them for $640 delivered to the door. Had to go fill deer feeders today so I took them along. Apparently it was just a fluke that I happened to catch the binoculars on sale. I had listened to a Vortex podcast over them, and as soon as it was over, I just did a Google search for "vortex ranger HD 3000" and the link to Mack's was like the second one at the top. Everyone else had them for $799 which is apparently the normal retail price, so I went ahead and jumped on the deal. I just did a Google search again now, and Mack's does show up, but they are showing them for $799 now.Could you provide the link to your seller?
All I came up with was a restaurant in Tulsa.
