New version of old powder. Worth some thought.

Most guys that shoot the big magnum cases are familiar with IMR-7828. This powder is to large to use in a BR or even a BR improved case, but, they have just introduced a new "version" of this powder called IMR-7828 SSC. The SSC stands for "Super Short Cut granules". This means that the powder will work in a powder measure, but the most important thing is that it can put a larger increased density charge into any "given" case.
In other words for those of you using a case like the 22-250 case capacity this is now a powder to consider with the VLD,heavy) bullets!!!

Information was taken from the April 2005 issue of "Shooting Times"

Yep, but that also gives increased muzzle pressure, which isnt usually a good thing.

Kind of like using retumbo in a 6.5-284. it filsl the case, but i dont know anyone that uses it.

YMMV,

In this sport things change. You might very well be right, then again, you might be wrong. Until it is tried, I prefer to keep an open mind!
Assuming things for "any" reason has a way of coming back and biting you in the "tush"!
