I’ve got a couple heavy 223 AI’s

Savage target actions….this one shown

PAC-Nor 28” straight cylinder 9 twist/3 groove

Vortex PST 6-24….weighs a tad over 18#

Goes from back of truck bed to portable table

Spare is target action with heavy 26” CBI 12 twist

Same Choate style stock….no glass currently

Benchmark….8208….H4895 for fuel…53 V max of course for p/dogs

That was the load data for the original Hodgdon 4831 WWII surplus powder and a 30-06…
Those were the days… 50 cents a pound, bring your own container and have it all weighed out on a bathroom scale..!

I’ve had 223ai for years and love it I shot the 40 bt over 4000fps with 4198. But it love hornady 50 v max with 4198.
