New to reloading 38 super

I just bought a Colt series 70 Model 0 in 38 super. . I've been reloading 9 and 38 specials but now want to start reloading 38 supers. I understand that some headstamps of fired brass work better than others and would appreciate any recommendations.

Hard to beat Starline if you're going to buy new. I loaded for my daughter's Super for a bazillion rounds with any and all range brass.

Get a U die from EGW and you should be OK with just about any brass and it will chamber and extract easier.

Keep in mind that you may have to tweak your extractor if you shoot SC or TJ in a Super.

38 SuperComp brass is awesome and makes the brass stack a bit easier in the mag as there isnt a rim like regular 38 Super brass has.

38 TJ brass is also awesome and will last you a long time with spicy loads.

.38 Super cases have all been equally good for me for about 45 years.
For .38 Spl, I like Rem cases as the walls are thinner and my 0.360" wadcutter bullets aren't swaged down.
For everything else, I have never found any cases to be better than others.
I reject some 9x19 cases because the walls are too thin to hold a bullet, but the head stamps aren't consistent, but they are all foreign.
.38 Super Comp MAY have issues unless you adjust ejector for it.
Personally, I see no reason to use anything other than .38 Super cases. Super Comp cases don't enter my magazine any easier, don't feed any better, and aren't more accurate. They may have some perceived benefit not having a idiotic semi-rim, but in reality, they work as well as std cases.
So, if I were you, I'd buy whatever brass I could, with "once fired" being what I would be after first. My Starline brass works just as well as my 45 year old cases.

^^^^ "........unless you adjust ejector extractor for it........" ???? Yes?

Yes, extractor. Old man moment. If you don't adjust, they may work worse--though I never had any issue.
Still, never saw it do anything std cases didn't also do--unless, maybe, you have a hi-cap gun.

The original Series 70 headspaced on the rim so using any of the rimless 38 auto cases would be a mistake.
Now if this is a new pistol than that will not matter.
