New Timney Calvin Trigger

Shynloco

You can lead a horse to water, but ........
Morning Guys,
I'm back with another "Opinion" question. Anybody out there try the new Timney Calvin trigger in their rifle that is adjustable to between 8 oz. - 2.5 lbs? I'm seriously considering buying one and and switching the standard trigger in my new Remington 700 SA 30BR rifle. Though adjustable, the standard trigger leaves much to be desired in a Benchrest Shooting atmosphere (not competition). I'm no fan of 1 oz - 4 oz triggers even in Benchrest style shooting. But I could easily live with an 8 oz trigger pull. Thx!

Alex

I have 4 Jewell triggers and Love them!! Ive tried Timneys and just couldnt get them how I wanted. Jewells break like a Glass Rod when set right. They come with 3 springs to set them how you want. Here are the spring weights...
HVR (Hunting/Varmint Model) with:
– Spring A: 8.0 to 56.0 oz.
– Spring B: 2.0 oz. to 16.0 oz.
– Spring C: 1.5 oz. to 3.0 oz.
– Pull above 56 oz. (3 1/2 lb.) optional

I have always ran Jewell's. The new Calvin is as good than any Jewell on the market and better than lots of the Jewell's that you buy today
