New tikka

Still a fairly new shooter and just got my second rifle.

She is a tikka t3x lite that I picked up new.... damn these rifles are cheap for what they are.

Since I got such a deal I went ahead and upgraded the barrel to a bartlein 26" 1/7 twist

Strapped a Bushnell hunter elite long range hunter 4.5-18 x 44 onto the top.

Firing hornady match 147g ammo

5 shot group at 100m came in just under 1/2 inch. I know I can do better than that group as well but range time is limited for us in our area due to covid19

Tikka Is a great rifle for a very economical price and a great place to start if you’re getting into Long Range shooting And with the addition of that barrel you definitely cannot go wrong and I’m sure it is a Shooter your target proves that

It makes it easy. I have literally only been to the range like 5 times in my whole life. I am very much a rookie.

I love how stable it is when aiming with that big heavy barrel.

I'm quite shaky and with my little 17hmr I find I tend to shake the gun around a lot even though I try to have as little input as possible.

Just wondering....how did the factory bbl shoot? I've got several Tikka's and they all shot great right out of the box. Your rifle did turn out great, and you can't complain with the accuracy.
The factory barrel was not bad at all. But was a light 22" barrel and I wanted something heavier and longer for benches and long range shooting.

I'm still learning but I wanted to build something custom which is why I went with the cheapest tikka I could find instead of a varmint barreled version or forking out a little extra and getting a sako

Oh yes it’s still a tikka with a better barrel
No, it's a Tikka with a EVEN better barrel!
I own three of them and one of them has been upgraded with a Hardy 6,5-284 7,5 twist stainless and are doing fantastic!
The two others are CTR's in .260 Rem and .308 win and the .260 are beyond 5000 rounds and are still below .5 Moa with 130 grain ELD-M's. Not bad from a factory barrel.
