New Teslong Model Coming

I’ve got the new rod version coming as well. Should have it next week and then a full review and videos of the new Wi-Fi and rod versions up on the main site around the first of the year. They’re really great guys to deal with and more responsive to questions than you’d expect. You can already tell the impact they’re having just by the sheer volume of threads devoted to their various iterations. For me and I think countless others they offer the perfect intersection of price, quality and performance for almost any level of the shooting sports.

Here is a teaser of what to expect from me with the new tool.

I bought one of the early 2000's Remington 700 Classic rifles, 24" CM barrel in 7mm-08. My plan was to use it in the stock hunter rifle class of HP silhouette competition. It shot poorly from the get go. I tried all my favorite loads to no avail. I did every trick in the book to get that thing to group. It never could do better than 2.5 inches at 200 meters, no where near good enough for offhand competition. I was dissapointed with it and replaced it with a sporter contour Douglas XX premium stainless a few months later. That one lasted 6750 shots and was a tack driver right to the end.

It wasn't until 2010 when I bought a Hawkeye that I realized that ten pounds of powder, 1840 bullets and near two bricks of primers was wasted trying to get this piece of bad steel to shoot. Yeah, I was determined to make it shoot. It was never going to shoot. What a waste.

That's it, all future photos will be with the new tool.

Ever had a suspicion that a rat made a nest in your wall and DIED? Well...those older endoscopes come in very handy in those situations. Just drill a series of small holes in the wall between the studs and poke your camera in there.
I did just that while chasing a bad odor and thought I saw a snake. Turned out to be the tail of a big ol' rat, female of course and there was a nest with dead young ones in it too. Phewwww!

I carefully made a softball size hole in the wall and pulled out the rat, still alive with its head caught in a rat trap, along with the nesting materials. Treated the area with odor block and reinstalled the plug I'd cut out. A little paint and you can't tell it was there.

With the stink gone the wife was sooooo much happier. And you know what they say about when momma ain't happy.:(

Bob, those are some very impressive pics!

Thanks. I will leave the YouTube videos to the pros. I will stick to photos with a story. That's more my style.:)

I am sure the new scope will provide the exact same picture quality. So my question to all is........have you bought one yet?;)

Will this be a plug-in model (non-Apple friendly) or will it be the newer WiFi version (iOS and Android capable)?

Careful, or they'll make an IoT model that finds copper or carbon and auto autconnects to Amazon to order more solvents / brushes. Or throat erosion and orders a new barrel.

I'm safe though because mine would auto order an RMA to a new shooters house ;)

any further info on making some suitable for 20 cal bores????

Just this sentence from a recent email. I am pushing for a .17 cal which would work for the .20's
Keep your fingers crossed.

Have a nice day.
Best wishes.

So no support for iphone/ipad?
It’s a mixed bag. The wireless version is iPhone/pad compatible but only because it’s self-powered. The other two version rely on the device to power it and Apple doesn’t generate enough power so they don’t work. It becomes a question of what’s more practical for your purpose, to have a unit that works on your iPhone but requires being charged or using a computer or Android device (as long as it’s new enough) and being able to just plug it in and go without worrying if your borecam was charged.

No matter the choice as @bobm said and I agree, they all produce about the same image although the new rigid one is supposed to be easier to use than the flexible one so we will see. Of course storing the rigid one then becomes the next question but it should also lend itself to less chance of damage to the optical cord. Between the those of us who are always getting the new ones to test and post here, everyone should stay pretty updated on this site as they continue to improve and increase their product line.
