Wondering if anyone has been able to test one of these out and compare it to the SVSS series for clarity at high power? I am guessing its going to be the same scope as the Field target version without the wheel?

I don't think they been released yet, should be sometime this month.
I have both a SVED and S6-MT reticle and the plus for the SV is the fine parallax adjustment, maybe a little better glass but my eyes can't tell the difference.

I am looking to get this new version.

33.6 ounces… according to the spec sheet.

Looking through the specs. the floating dot is half again bigger than the SVSSED
.15 vs .1
If that matters to you.
They state using two extra low dispersion lenses that is better than the SIII
Not saying it's better or the same as the SVSSED
Is the price difference because of the dual parallax adjustment on the SVSSED?

The body of the scope looks like a take off of the PLR series.

Been shooting it for several months nothing wrong with it at all. But I would trade it for a 15-55 with just a dot. The sightron is just to busy for me

That is the only issue I have too. the new BR model will have a floating dot and interrupted crosshair so no hash marks.

Looks like both choices are going to be available on the BR model.

I don't think it was designed to compete in a particular price range. but how many 34mm 10-60X with ED Japanese glass scopes are there out there with Sightron's quality at this price range?

The first versions were for air gun field target use, but this new is geared for RFBR with less busy reticles.

Athlon Ares 15-60? It is however a 30mm tube.

I had the Ares and it was nice but this S6 is has far better glass according to my eyes. I also have a SVED and the SV may have slightly better glass and with the fine parallax it is a better scope but those are anywhere from $300(used)-$1000(new) more in price.
again the appeal is going to be the far less busier reticle.
