Results= 2.5" group @ 300 yds (very little vertical)

This is the best this rifle has grouped with varget, prior to this i could only get decent accuracy with IMR 4895 (3" @300yds)

So far i like them!

My buddy and I picked up 100 each of the 77 TMK's to test in Barnes Precision AR-15's with 20" Krieger barrels. Issue is they are so long they have to be seated deeper to fit in mag. This effects using mid/high powder charges due to limited case capacity. So even if BC is superior, with lower velocity, it's a wash.

Will stick with 77 SMK molys for my particular application. Not an issue unless you are working within confines of a magazine, but these are long projectiles and may be a hindrance in some instances. So was our finding at any rate. On paper, great looking bullet.

If you shoot 80 gr MK’s I think you will get more powder and velocity due to the baring difference...

43.5 gr of Varget in LC brass spitting 168 TMK is probably very close to MAX.

Did you do a OCW to find this load ?

There is no reason why you couldn't get 2" or better at 300 with that barrel.
L.C. brass can vary in H20 Capacity quite a bit, but it can also take a decent beating so it's a trade off.

I use 175 TMKs in my LR308 with a 24" Criterion barrel and Viht N 150 with excellent results.
On steel targets at 500 yds, hits are all within 1 1/2" of POI. As an aside, I use 77 TMKs & Viht N 140 in my .223 AR with 24" Krieger barrel. @ 500 yds groups of 2 ~ 3" are common, mainly depending on the wind.
